Iodine Paw Soak Treatments

One of the most used and neglected parts of the dog’s body is their paws. Heat and the cold can really put a toll on your dog’s feet. Many dogs suffer from cracked paws and sores in between the toe area. If not treated properly, it may create infection and major irreversible problems in the future. Allergic reaction to grass can also affect some dogs, especially diluted colored dogs like blues.

A sign of your dog having irritated feet is constant licking of the paws, and sensitivity when touched and walking.

A quick and easy remedy is to soak your dog’s feet before bedtime and in the morning before you leave for work in an Iodine Foot Soak. Soak one paw or all paws depending on the size of your paw soaker. Pour a small amount of iodine and add water until it is the color of tea. Place the dogs paws in for 5-10 minutes twice a day and damp dry.
